Terrain
The forest area is predominantly Mediterranean woodland, interspersed with small seasonal cultivation plots. Relief is moderate, alternating gentle slopes and relatively flat areas. Vegetation is abundant and heterogeneous, with numerous loose-stone walls, many partially ruined.
Water points are planned only for the Long Distance. Maps will be printed by RGB Image using high-quality orienteering printing standards.

WRE, GPS & live data
- WRE stages: Middle on 30 January and Long on 31 January.
- GPS tracking planned for the 15 highest IOF-ranked athletes in ME and WE.
- Each stage is planned with approximately 7–10 radio controls for live intermediate information.
- Live results: TicTacTiming. WRE official export/publication will additionally follow IOF/Eventor requirements.
- Start lists are planned for the Wednesday before the event on the AOM and TicTacTiming websites.
